And the Jackpot was with the introduction of one of the best rifles that the Russian army has to play with. Now we can all have this lovely modern adaptation at home. I am talking about the one and only AK-12. As the news of this replica travels fast I hope you get one before the stock runs dry. But the AK-12 is not the only awesome gun from NPOAEG there is more.
NPOAEG AK-12 Full Steel AEG
The Kalashnikov AK-12 (formerly АK-200) is the newest derivative of the Soviet/Russian AK-pattern series of assault rifles and was proposed for possible general issue to the Russian Army. In late September 2013, the AK-12 was passed over by the Russian military, but it was announced in December 2014 that it had passed state tests and now is being evaluated by Russian Army as well as its competitor the A-545 (modernized AEK-971).
The AK-12 uses the same gas-operated long-stroke piston system of previous Kalashnikov rifles, but many features are radically different from other guns in its family. The light version has the ability to change calibers by swapping barrels. The standard caliber is 5.45×39mm and can be changed to 7.62×39mm and 5.56×45mm. Other intermediate calibers are expected. The heavy version will fire the larger 7.62×51mm NATO cartridge. It is fed through standard AK-74M 30-round magazines and can accept RPK-74 45-round magazines. The 7.62 Soviet-chambered version is compatible with AKM/RPK 30-round and 40-round magazines and 75-round drums. Magazines specifically for the AK-12 under development include a 30-round magazine with bolt-catch actuator, a 60-round quad-stack magazine, and a 95-round drum. The AK-12 is very different from its predecessors ergonomically. The stock is telescoping and in-line with the barrel for better recoil control. It also features a stock latch on the stock itself, allowing for it to be folded to either side of the rifle. It has a rubber height-adjustable cheek piece and butt plate. The cocking handle is moved forward and can be attached to both sides for ambidextrous use. The receiver is hinged and more rigid with a Picatinny rail for mounting optics. There are several other accessory rails on the weapon, including on both sides and the bottom of the handguard, on top of the handguard (in-line with the receiver for a longer monolithic rail), and on top of the gas block. A lug under the gas chamber can mount a GP-34 grenade launcher, and one under the front sight holder mounts a bayonet. The rear iron sight is further back on the receiver and can be set for aiming when the stock is extended or folded. The magazine release is in the same position but can be used by the trigger finger to detach magazines. In a departure from previous AK-type rifles, the dust cover safety selector has been replaced with an ambidextrous fire selector; it has four positions for safe, semiautomatic, three-round burst fire, and fully automatic fire. Fully automatic rate of fire is 600 rounds per minute, but on a three-round burst it fires at 1,000 rounds per minute. Other improvements include a smaller ejection port, more ergonomic pistol grip, improved rifling, and muzzle brake with a 22 mm threading that can fire NATO standard rifle grenades.
NPOAEG is a Russian-based company that has been making the closest replicas to the real ones since Sept 2011 for half a decade. All guns are made in Russia, where the original firearms were designed. In terms of material the whole gun is made with CNC steel furniture are made with premium polymer / real wood. Welding and rivets are all actual welds and rivets, not just decorations. Finishing on the guns might be a bit raw, but that is how it is supposed to be when it comes to Russian weapons, raw, slightly awkward yet reliable in every condition, you know you can count on it in every condition.
Fully constructed in steel with polymer handguard and grip, it was crafted in the closest ratio to the real one. Powered by a standard V3 gearbox with a 6.02mm precision inner barrel you know it would be reliable and would fit a variety of standard version 3 gearbox aftermarket parts.
NPOAEG VSS-M Full Steel AEG
VSS (Vinovka Snaiperskaja Spetsialnaya = Special Sniper Rifle) was designed for special operations. Designed at TSNIITochMash(Central Institute for Precision Machine Building) by team lead by PetrSerdjukov, the new rifle was intended to replace some AK-47/AKM rifles, fitted with silencers, in the hands of various Special Operations (SpetsNaz) troops of Soviet Army, KGB and MVD. To achieve desired lethality against targets, protected with body armor, TSNIITochMash had to develop a new subsonic cartridge, based on the 7.62×39 case, necked out for 9mm bullet. The bullets used in new cartridges are long and heavy (about 16 gram), and of ball (SP-5)and AP (SP-6) type. The latter bullet features a hardened steel penetrator asthe core, and can defeat most military issue body armors at ranges up to 300-400meters. VSS is in use since late 1980s, and is widely used in Chechnya against separatists. VSS is quite popular among its users for its stealthy capabilities and great lethality of heavy 9mm bullets.
The VSS is a gas operated, selective fire weapon. The longstroke gas piston is located above the barrel. The rotating bolt has 6 lugs andlocks into the receiver, which is machined from solid steel for greater strength. The trigger unit differs significantly from AK-47 type firearms, being striker-fired. The safety switch and charging handle are AK-style, but the fire selector is a cross-bolt button, located inside the trigger guard, behind the trigger.
The barrel at the front has a set of tiny holes, drilled in therifling grooves, which lead into the integral silencer. The silencer is the integral part of the weapon, and while it could be easily removed for storage or maintenance, the VSS should not be fired with the silencer removed.
The VSS-M is a trial model that was aimed at modernizing the VSS platform with an added monolithic rail top cover, accessories rail in the front and a hollowed adjustable buttstock with adjustable cheek riser and buttpad. The gun itself features a adjustable stock providing basic support for making accurate shots, it definitely packs a punch with a long 6.02mm precision barrel powering 400 fps right out of the box, both combined makes a deadly DMR platform.
NPOAEG SR-3M Full Steel AEG
The SR-3 “Vikhr” (“Whirlwind”) compact assault rifle was developed in TSNIITOCHMASH by A. Borisov and V. Levchenko during early 1990s. Initially known as “MA” (Malogabaritnyj Avtomat = small-size assault rifle), it was based on the silenced 9 mm AS “Val” assault rifle, and intended for concealed carry by special VIP protection teams and State security operatives. The SR-3 is widely used by various FSO (Federal Protection Service, a VIP protection organization, which guards the President and the government of the Russian Federation) and FSB (Federal Security Service) operatives, elite Russian counter-terror teams and other specialized users in the MVD and Russian police. In terms of size and weight, the SR-3 is similar to many submachine guns, but it fires much more powerful 9x39mm ammunition, available in armor piercing (SP-6) and ball (SP-5) loadings. Thus, SR-3 is considered to be an assault rifle rather than a submachine gun. Following the demand from users, the TSNIITOCHMASH recently developed an improved version of the SR-3, with intent to produce a more versatile weapon for Law Enforcement use. The new SR-3M (Modified) compact assault rifle features more convenient fire controls and charging handle, integral forward grip (folding), and, most important, specially developed quick-detachable silencer (sound moderator) and a standard side rail for mounting day or night optics on the left side of the receiver. Another useful accessory for the SR-3M is a new magazine with enlarged capacity (30 rounds), which also provides more reliable feeding during automatic fire.
The SR-3 features the receiver, machined from a bar of steel, and gas-operated action with long stroke piston, plus the same rotating bolt group from the AS. However, the SR-3 has no integral silencer, nor provision to mount one, and thus is much shorter than the AS. Other changes included a more compact, top-folding butt and simplified flip-up rear sight. The redesigned charging handle, made in the form of dual sliders above the forearm, must be grasped by thumb and index finger and then retracted to load the weapon. The trigger unit is generally the same as in the AS, but the AK-type safety is replaced by ambidextrous lever above the pistol grip. The fire mode selector is of cross-bolt, push button type and located behind the trigger, inside the trigger guard. SR-3 uses same polymer magazines for 10 or 20 rounds, as the parent AS and VSS rifles. Open sights consist of a protected front post nd a flip-up rear sight with U-notch, with settings for 100 and 200 meters range.
The SR-3M differs by having AS-style controls (safety lever, semi / auto selector switch inside the trigger guard, charging handle), improved polymer furniture, AS-style side-folding shoulder stock, quick-detach mount for proprietary silencer at the muzzle, and a side-rail for mounting of various optical equipment (Red-dot or telescope day sights, night sights).

On the side of the gun is the standard soviet optics rail which will accept AK spec optics.
